Cognetix conceived the idea of engraving a hardwood box with a scatchboard style illustration. The box was foil stamped with a rendering of the state of South Carolina with different food groups located throughout the state. The box was then wrapped with two cogar bands depicting the different food groups. A small book was produced that gave a background and description of each food product.
