Jeff Taylor, a Charleston advertising executive and co-owner of Cognetix Advertising and Marketing, has been chosen by the National Children's Alliance to receive the 2008 Volunteer Leadership-Individual Award.
Taylor is being recognized for his local work with the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center.
Taylor helped promote child abuse awareness to generate support for the center through his work with the "I Believe ..." campaign which focuses on the belief that child abuse is a grown-up problem and adults are the key to successful prevention and treatment.
The campaign runs in April in conjunction with National Child Abuse Prevention month.
